Nudity And What About the Children?

When we talk about nudism/ nudity and kids, it’s common to hear, What about the kids? I used to wonder what parents believe will happen for How to Date a Nudist when You Are Not One if they saw a naked man or girl laying on the plage in sunlight.
Do they believe their minds will suffer psychological damage? That they might grow up to be a pervert or addicted to sex? I never comprehended what actual reasons were behind these parents’ worries.
Nudity And Kids
The issue appears to come up frequently, and I noticed it in the movie I previously posted about the woman who got in trouble for going bare around her house. (Watch it below.)
This man is so concerned about his kids seeing the naked lady next door. It seems ridiculous she should be such a threat, but it’s not hard to believe many other parents would respond exactly the same way.
Nudity And Kids
I also came across the same concern in an article about a potential topless beach being sanctioned in Asbury Park. First, one disclosing comment against it is, “Some things have to be saved for intimate moments with their significant other in the bedroom..”
For another individual who’s a dad, he acknowledged he personally does not have any problem with topless beaches. But watching his two young daughters he instantly included I don’t want them to be exposed to that.’ Personal Account About Body Image and Eating Disorders ‘s not even full-frontal nudity he is worried about, but just exposure to women’s breasts.
I don’t believe these guys are picturing the peaceful, desexualized surroundings of a naturist beach. Maybe they’re picturing a scene from one of the infamous Girls Gone Wild videos with young women baring themselves and prepared to make out. There’s definitely an over-sexualization of female breasts in the U.S. We learn in the media that breasts are sexual and forbidden, and it’s against the law to expose them almost anyplace outside the bedroom.

Iwill conclude that once again the question stems back to the fixed link between nudity and sex. Letting children see any sort of nudity equates to exposing them to sex at a young age. And we are living within an age where people are very paranoid about pedophiles and child pornography.
In America it can be difficult for anyone to take innocent photographs of a nude kid without being charged as a sexual criminal. more of the broad canyons that follow the Colorado River can find plenty of examples of this in the media, but check out the true story line behind this recent novel about a photographer who faced serious repercussions from some photos.
Given this common nudity = sex viewpoint, it becomes significantly easier to comprehend parents’ warning when it comes to nudity and their children. It’s obvious that we still have to shift those preconceived notions of what a naturist setting is actually like, and promote the wonderful, natural, non-sexual aspects of naturism. Many nudist places are made to be family-friendly, and the reality is that young children are really natural naturists who love to run around bare if given the chance. I spent my childhood in any of these settings, and grew up comfortable with my own body from a young age with a healthy attitude towards nudity.
And not to mention the gratifying experience of having a close community of amazing people to look after me, teach me things, and help me grow. So what about the kids? I believe a child who is introduced to or raised in a family naturist setting can possess a free-spirited childhood and a greater possibility of having more self confidence and considerably greater body-acceptance than your average American!
