Diva Cup – This post is for women, particularly those that like to go nude! Guys, if period-talk makes you uncomfortable, then keep reading 😉
Well I came across a bit menstruation (Yeah it is like 6th grade health class all over again) product awhile back called the Diva Cup. I was definitely curious to try it, so when I saw it on the shelf in my local health food store, I snatched it up! The Diva Cup is a silicone-established menstrual cup which is inserted into the vagina just like a tampon. Yet, instead of consuming everything, it is all gathered in the cup. You can wear it for up to 12 hours at a time (compared to altering a tampon every few hours), and it doesn’t leak! (Given it is properly inserted, and it might take some training.)
Diva Cup and its carrying case
Would you fear the “crimson wave” crashing your nakation? I know many women do, particularly those new to naturism. Well I was excited to review this on my site because that is fantastic for nudist girls! It’s so distinct, you no more need to worry about an awkward, observable tampon string. Women, this really is a better way to love going absolutely bare during your period and be more relaxed and comfortable doing so. It took me a few days to get used to it, but the cup is actually very simple to use. I recall hearing about this sort of product quite a while past, thinking it seemed dirty and a little gross, but it is not. Plus it’s so much more suitable than tampons. (Ever been to Sandy Hook bare beach and had to excursion back and forth to the bathroom a mile away?) In addition, it might take a little bit of training, but it really will not leak when it is properly fit.
The other advantages of using the Diva Cup instead of tampons and sanitary napkins are that it’s eco-friendly and saves a fortune. The Diva Cup folks did some calculations, estimating that the average woman will use 10,000 tampons and sanitary napkins in her life. That is lots of resulting http://nudist-young.com/contributions/family-world-nudism.php and money. They also quote some research: “More than 170,000 tampon applicators were gathered along U.S. coastal regions between 1998 and 1999.” There is so much plastic and trash that washes up on shores, and I’d prefer to not add my discarded tampon applicators to it. Ick! If properly cared for, the Diva Cup will survive for 1 year and prices around $30 to $40, making it more cost effective than tampons/pads bought in per year. (I found mine for $33.)
The drawbacks? For one, I was disturbed by the long list of soaps that you simply should not use to clean it, aka every sort of soap I had at home. But truly any mild, unscented soap should be fine, or you’re able to get the Diva Wash, specially made because of it. Another problem is if you end up trying to take it outside and wash it privately in a public bathroom. Nobody desires to take that up to the sink. The solution is simple however: empty it into the toilet, clean it away with some tissue, and good to go until you get home.
